I am a currently student at R.H. Smith School of the University of Maryland (UMD) studying in International business. I graduated from high school in Istanbul, Turkey. I enrolled in the Faculty of Sport Academy at Gazi University after graduating from high school in Istanbul. After attending the academy for about a year, I decided to go to the United States because it is one of the best places to study.

As I continue my education, I also continue practicing and competing in Taekwondo for more than 14 years. After winning many Istanbul city and Turkish National Championships, I earned a spot on Turkish National Taekwondo Team, which is almost always among the top five teams in the World. I represented Turkey at International tournaments and won several championships such as International Spain, Ismet Iraz, and Korean Open.

I earned my A.S. degree in business administration at Northern Virginia Community College As. During my study there, I lead the Turkish Student Association, founded and produced The Student Times magazine with few friends. We interviewed with professors, college presidents, and many other top level official in education field. I was selected among to top ten students of All-Virginia Academic Team by Phi Theta Kappa, Honor Society.  

Now, while continuing my education in business, I lead the Martial Arts Club at UMD and continue competing in national and international Tae Kwon Do tournaments and also teach Tae Kwon Do. Since I came to the U.S, I won gold medal almost all of the state, national, and international tournaments. In 2005, I became a National Team Member of Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). I am on World Taekwondo Masters’ team, which is among the best school in the nation.    
 
Now, my utmost objective is to become Olympic champion while producing successful young athletes by teaching and sharing my accumulated experience.
